A New Program for the New Era of IT Infrastructure

Scale Computing is very excited about the release of HC, the world’s first truly hyper-converged infrastructure for midsize companies. While the product brings fundamental changes in the way IT managers will forever architect their infrastructure, it also creates a new variety of alliance partnership opportunities that can quickly and efficiently bring value to IT consumers.

With the launch of HC3 comes the formal creation of Scale Computing’s alliance partner program. We have three tiers, each crafted to bring the most value to our partner and mutual customers.

  • Strategic Alliance Partners are those whose technology or company adds significant  value to our core product. These include features and technologies licensed by Scale.
  • Technology Alliance Partners provide technologies complimentary to the HC3 ecosystem. Products such as backup, recovery, P2V, V2V, security, and others would fall into this category and would include engagement in joint go-to-market activities.
  •  Application Alliance Partners is a tier unique to Scale Computing and the HC3. These are companies who have chosen to  package their commercial enterprise applications in HC3-compliant formats so our customers can easily purchase and install it as a virtual machine. The HC3 makes installing enterprise applications as easy as running Angry Birds on a mobile device.

In addition to the alliance benefits listed in the alliances section, our program will foster a community of Scale Computing partners. We’ll re-tweet relevant partner news on our @scalealliances account, initiate introductions and hold exclusive dinners to foster cross-partner business opportunities.


In addition to the formal alliance program, we are partnering with the Open Virtual Alliance (http: http://www.openvirtualizationalliance.org/) to help lead innovation in KVM-based virtual infrastructure.  I’m personally excited about this opportunity to join leaders like IBM, Red Hat, Intel, and HP in an effort to bring advanced enterprise-class technologies to the market.
